Liverpool couple Norman and Pat Bate can't wait for the Royal family's blessed event.

(SOUNDBITES) (English) PAT AND NORMAN BATE SAYING:

PAT: "I think they will be fantastic."

NORMAN: "And they will have a great uncle in Harry" (LAUGHTER)

When they heard the news that Will and Kate were expecting... they planned a two-month trip down the river by boat to be in London for the royal arrival.

Even the dog's celebrating.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) PAT BATE SAYING:

"We planned it to coincide with the birth of the baby, so we thought we'd be down here round about the 12th which was the date that we were told that she was expecting the birth, but we've been waiting ever since."

Now that date has been and gone and there is no sign of Kate at the hospital, it's just a case of waiting and waiting and waiting.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) PAT BATE SAYING:

"We are not moving until the baby's born."
