Barcelona, Jul 19 (EFE).- Tito Vilanova is no longer F.C. Barcelona's manager seeing as he will have to undergo new treatments for a cancer which he has been suffering for a year and a half, according to the club's president Sandro Rosell, who spoke at a press conference Friday afternoon.
An emotional Rosell announced that "after having evaluated the result of a routine check-up, the possibility of a treatment to control the illness, which is not compatible with being responsible of Barcelona's prime team, was presented".
He also explained that the team's trip to Poland had been cancelled and added that sports director Zubizarreta would once again come before the press early next week to announce who Barcelona's new manager will be.
