The remake of the 1972 film, 'Seeta aur Geeta' is in its casting stage. Director Dibakar Banerjee is in a fix, convincing the lead bollywood stars, to play supporting roles to Katrina Kaif, for this remake. Considering Katrina Kaif's success ratio, any A-league hero would jump at the offer of sharing screen space with the bollywood charm. Unfortunately,we do not witness the same here. Being a female oriented film, no actor is willing to act as a supporting role.
Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are being considered for the role of Sanjeev Kumar and Dharmendra respectively, but that's only if they accept the proposal. Katrina's double role in the film will not remain the same as that of the original 'Seeta aur Geeta'. A lot of filmy tadka, accustomed to the modern era, is to be added to this remake.
For now, not much is revealed about the film. Hope Dibakar, gets his cast soon!
