Most amusement park attractions have minimum height requirement signs. However, after one recent incident park authorities may want to add in maximum height signs as well.

Workers at the Six Flags Great Adventure park in New Jersey were forced to rescue and free a rider whose legs got stuck under the front part of the boat on the Saw Mill Log Flume.

The unidentified male’s knees got lodged under the lip portion of the ship ride because he was a little too tall to comfortably fit in the seat.

Park maintenance workers removed a strip of foam padding to free him in a rescue operation that reportedly took less than 5 minutes. The man’s exact height was not released.

It seems the male got off lucky. Although amusement rides are undoubtedly fun, there’s always the risk of serious injury.

An estimated 44 hundred children are injured on roller coasters and carnival rides every year, according to a recent study that includes 20 years’ worth of data.
