A man recently had his longtime dream shattered after being denied admittance to a LEGO attraction.

63-year-old John St-Onge is a major LEGO enthusiast.

His hope was to visit the LEGOLAND park in Denmark, but due to health problems including heart issues, diabetes and cancer, he cannot travel that far away from home.

So he was ecstatic to learn that a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre was located in Toronto. That’s about three hour’s drive from his home.

John and his grown daughter, Nicole saved up money for the trip but upon arrival, they were not even allowed inside. There is a rule at the center which only allows adults to enter if they are accompanied by a child.

Father and daughter were forced to go home. Nicole stated “My dad is 63 years old, he was devastated. The look on his face was like a child not getting the gift at Christmas that they want. He felt discriminated against because he's a senior citizen who also happens to like Lego.”
