Darkness at noon: Just as the skies were about to burst and cloud-cover was building up on 15th June 2013, this was the darkness that descended at Gaumukh, in the middle of the afternoon, with an eerie light, just before the rains that led to the cataclysmic floods!
Not a soul was there to be seen as the hundred foot high glacier walls emptied their waters into the nascent Ganga, in the eerie afternoon landscape of Gaumukh where the Gangotri glacier ends and the Ganges starts.
