We are Excited about this new teaching on Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1 gives us an amazing verse about how the Holy Spirit is given as a gift to be experienced in life. Verse 14 says the Holy Spirit is “the down payment of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it…” We have an inheritance from God through Jesus Christ. He purchased it on the cross, paid the price for it in full when He said “It is finished”. However it is something that we will receive in the future – namely when Christ returns. In the present though, we have received a down payment of this inheritance.
