Vilnius handed EU presidency as a public trust plummets

Lithuania has been handed the reins of the EU's rotating presidency at a ceremony in Vilnius.

Lithuania is the first former Soviet republic to take on the job.

The country of around 3 million will hold the post for the next six months.
