Rough Cut Film Review has a stab at the new Evil Dead remake - Did this need to be made? Perhaps not but cripes am I glad it was. Another point worth mentioning is that they have not had a direct replacement for Ash - we have a brother / sister team who do their best not to have their souls swallowed by a lovely evil demon thing - as one does. Oh and in terms of stuff cropping up from the previous films - the cellar, shotgun & chainsaw all make a welcome return.
