Universal Orlando is gearing up for a string of haunted houses which will terrify guests. Visitors will be able to walk into Universal’s version of the 2012 horror flick ‘The Cabin in the Woods’.
With summer in full swing, not many people are thinking about Halloween.
But that’s definitely not stopping Universal Studios Orlando as they are gearing up to launch a string of haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights 23.
Coming September, visitors will be able to walk into Universal’s version of the 2012 horror flick ‘The Cabin in the Woods’.
The resort teamed up with Lionsgate and the movie director Drew Goddard. Terror seekers will reportedly be greeted by a family of zombies upon first entering the cabin.
They will also get to run from the house, fleeing to a secret facility, while their fake deaths are plotted. Then topping off the horror, monsters will be unleashed. Essentially, visitors get to be actors, starring in their own frightening flick.
Goddard stated “This is a twisted dream come true for me. The Universal team has done an amazing job making all the terrifying aspects of ‘Cabin’ come to life, and horror fans will not be disappointed.”
Goddard is scheduled make an appearance himself, slated to dress up in costume. Universal has released a teaser trailer featuring the cabin.
