The former military dictator of Pakistan is the main suspect in the assassination of the ex-Pakistani prime minister. Musharraf has been charged with a litany of crimes like high treason for changing the constitution, and even another political assassination.

Pervez Musharraf, the former military dictator of Pakistan is the main suspect in the assassination of the ex-Pakistani prime minister, according to the Federal Investigation Agency.
Ex-prime minister Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan after a nine year exile, in 2007, and was assassinated by a gunman and a bomb explosion a few months later.

Musharraf ruled the country of Pakistan from 1999 to 2008 after a successful military coup on the current prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Sharif is quoted as saying: “Musharraf has to answer for all his deeds in court.”

Musharraf has been charged with a litany of crimes like high treason for changing the constitution, and even another political assassination.

Several of the crimes that Musharraf has been charged with carry the death penalty if he is convicted.

But prime minister Sharif may be pressured to lower the sentence to life imprisonment or exile, which is what Musharraf did for Sharif in 2000 after his coup the previous year.

What do you think? Will Musharraf be found guilty of these crimes?
