Technology is enabling incredible innovation in every aspect of our society.

A new project on the fundraising website indiegogo.com aims to create a bicycle derived from cardboard. The bike is said to be durable and able to support up to 400 pounds. It is also water and fire resistant.

The inventor notes that - “The bicycles are extremely light and do not require adjustments or repairs. The solid tires are made of reconstituted rubber from old car tires, will never get a puncture, and can last for years. A car timing belt is used instead of a chain.”

As an added bonus, the weight of the bicycle itself is around 20 pounds, which is much less than the standard metal versions. The goal of the project is simple.

The designers aim to give life to a bicycle by utilizing recycled cardboard. Essentially they want to create something new and save resources at the same time.

What do you think? Would you ride this bicycle?
