Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday inaugurated a key link of 11-km long Pir Panjal rail tunnel in Banihal. The tunnel will connect the Kashmir valley to rest of the country. The rail connectivity will cut the present surface distance between the two towns by around 18 km.
