(Gunfire) The realization that the violence is far from over. (Gunfire) At least eight Iraqi Turkmen were killed in what turned out to be attacks by two suicide bombers in Tuz Khurmato, a city just a hundred miles north of the capital. The second blast occured as protesters tried to take the wounded to a local hospital.

Tuz Khurmato is a disputed area that is home to a mixed population of ethnic Kurds, Arab Sunnis and Shi'ite Turkmen. Gatherings of Turkmen, including this latest one to express frustration with the government over perceived inequities, have been targeted in a series of attacks.
