A crook in Cornwall, United Kingdom was busted after he robbed a gas station.
According to reports, 41-year-old Jamie Neil wasn’t very hard to catch as his disguise of choice was a plastic bag. Store security cameras caught him walking into the establishment wearing the clear bag over his head, in an effort to conceal his features.
Neil and a 20-year-old accomplice had a little too much to drink and took medication before deciding to rob the store. The accomplice used a scarf to cover his face and pointed his cell phone at the female cashier, hoping she would mistake the device for a gun.
Luckily she wasn’t fooled and activated the alarm, foiling the thieves’ plot. Neil wrestled with the employee and took off with several bottles of liquor.
Not surprisingly, a police officer recognized him several days after the crime on a public street. The accomplice was also caught and pleaded guilty to the robbery.
Neil was convicted in court. Both men were sentenced to two years in jail.
