The Russian lower house of parliament the Duma has passed in the third reading a bill placing adoption restrictions on nations allowing same-sex marriage.
The bill now goes before the Senate, and then to President Putin for signature. Both are expected to be a formality. The Duma gave unanimous backing for the bill, with not a single vote against.
