In a sad and baffling report, a 19-year-old man has drowned in a recreational center’s pool. The male, named Dustin worked as a lifeguard at the facility in Texas.
Lifeguards can be credited with saving countless lives.
In a sad and baffling report, a 19-year-old man has drowned in a recreational center’s pool. The male, named Dustin worked as a lifeguard at the facility in Texas.
According to witnesses, Dustin had been doing laps in the pool and tried to swim the entire length underwater. When he resurfaced, his body was floating.
Immediately, fellow lifeguards jumped in the water and pulled Dustin out. Emergency crews were called while lifeguards performed CPR. Workers from the fire department soon arrived and took over, but all attempts to revive Dustin proved to be futile.
He was rushed to the hospital, but tragically he was declared deceased. While no foul play is suspected in Dustin’s untimely death, an autopsy had been ordered to probe into why he lost consciousness while swimming – an exercise he was very familiar with.
Dustin just graduated from Seven Lakes High School, where he played football. He was planning to enroll at the University of Alabama to study economics.
