Molo Street Children Project is a Christian, community based organization that works to bring the gospel of Christ to poor children and their families in and around the town of Molo in Kenya. Started in 2003 by Sonia and Chris Donnan, the project has now grown and is supporting about 160 children and their families through education and into university. The youngest children we look after are about 18 months old and we have 8 boys (young men) studying in University in Kenya who have been assisted through secondary education by the project. The families often work in various activities at the Project so they can earn money and the Project seeks to generate a lot of its finances from within Kenya, mostly by farming. We operate a pre-school class at the project and do not operate a children's home - we desire that children should remain with their own, or extended family wherever possible. We are also involved in caring for children with HIV/AIDS and associated families. We are working with ladies regarding female health issues and family planning. We seek to partner with organizations and individuals who will assist us in our goals; these can be seen in more detail at https://www.facebook.com/molostreetchildren or www.molostreetchildren.org.uk
