Private medical practitioners across Uttarakhand observed a one-day strike on Saturday to protest against the “arbitrary implementation” of the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act. The doctors had gone on strike was called to be the outcome of the meeting between the government and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on June 17.
