Passengers on a plane were horrified after a pilot emerged from the cockpit screaming. The reason for the pilot’s perplexing behavior was said to be a medical condition.

Planes are thought to be the safest form of transportation, but there are some bizarre and scary incidents that occur on flights.

Recently passengers on a flight going from Calgary to Newark, New Jersey were horrified after the aircraft jolted and a pilot emerged from the cockpit screaming.

Upon leaving the cockpit, he held onto an attendant, yelling for help and demanding to get off the plane.

The pilot was restrained in first class until the aircraft landed. And the flight was diverted to Toronto.

The reason for the pilot's perplexing behavior was due to a medical issue. A spokeswoman for Air Canada stated “I can say that it was an unforseen, previously undiagnosed physical ailment and he is currently on leave.”

Airline pilots aged 40 and older are forced to undergo medical evaluations once every six months. Every two years, pilots of all ages have blood work done and their hearts monitored to ensure they are healthy enough to fly a plane.
