JONATHAN COX, a kind hearted teenage farm boy from Blue Ball, PA is forced to move to NEW JERSEY to live with his relatives, AUNT TERESA, UNCLE AL, and cousin VITO. There he clashes with his overzealous playboy cousin Vito who refuses to take Jonathan under his wing. However, the two hatch a deal: Jonathan will help Vito graduate, if Vito helps Jonathan romance the guidette of his dreams, CECCA.
Jonathan becomes known as “Johnny”, and the farmer is transformed into a smooth ladies man, complete with spiky jelled hair, buffed physique, tight euro-trash clothing, and attitude to boot. Vito coaches Johnny on the various methods of seduction of Guido-ism with comic results.
Johnny gets feelings for SOPHIA, with whom he can really be himself and not have to put on a ridiculous show. Johnny helps Sophia plan her long awaited Sweet 16 bash, but Cecca comes into his life and propositions him for an evening of bliss. Johnny is put to the ultimate test of choosing between lust and true love.
