The business named Psycho Donuts, which has two locations in California, will be giving out free donuts filled with foie gras mousse.
The one-day promotion will run on June 7th as part of the company’s efforts to celebrate National Doughnut Day. Only 100 are available and they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.
There is actually a foie gras ban in the state of California which prevents businesses from selling anything containing the delicacy. However, Psycho Donuts is getting around the law, by giving the treats out for free.
Fig, honey and balsamic vinegar will be injected into the donuts adding to the flavor. A company spokesperson stated “We are always pushing the boundaries of where donuts have gone in the past, and leading the zaniest path forward in the donut industry.”
