Hong Kong youth mark Tiananmen anniversary

2013-06-04 11

It has been 24 years since the Chinese government sent in the army to end a pro-democracy demonstration in Beijing's Tiananmen Square Ever since, the government has worked to erase the events of that day from the national consciousness. Discussion of what happened or how many were killed is forbidden. But young activists in Hong Kong are taking advantage of their relative freedom to keep the memory alive.
