Dr. Howard Horowitz's legendary Across America class, Northwest version, 2002. Ramapo College of New Jersey held a summer session class which involved hands-on learning about Geography, Geology, Ecology, Resource Management, and Anthropology while trekking across the United States. The 2002 trip began when the students arrived at Seattle, and from there followed a path through 5 neighboring states though the subsequent weeks. It was a deeply thought-out, unforgettably lovely experience, both from a social as well as a formal educational perspective.
