BREAKING: Boston Fire Chief Buckles Under Pressure; Resigns

2013-06-03 58

Boston Fire Chief Steve E. Abraira has put in his letter of resignation, effective Friday. Abraira had only been the Fire Chief for two years, but there were clashes over his management style and handling of the Boston marathon bombings. The Boston Herald says that the deputy chiefs sent a letter to the mayor of Boston criticizing his handling of the Boston bombings and claimed that he acted like a spectator at major fire scenes. Abraira has threatened to sue if the deputy chiefs continued the "defamatory" attacks.
