Hafez Shirazi the Iranian poet of the 14th century is always present in Persian speaking homes. His poetry usually learnt by heart is not only a literary masterpiece but his themes evoke a spiritual inspiration for all generations at all levels of society. Hafez is known for having been inspired by the Holy Qoran and therefore his poetry is considered as a model to be followed in everyday decision making.
