Brad Pitt criticized his own mental state during at least part of the time he was married to Jennifer Aniston. The actor gave an interview to Esquire magazine, talking about his life "a decade ago" - when he and Aniston were still married. Pitt told the mag, "I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic."

Pitt and Aniston were married in 2000, and divorced in 2005 - the same year he began his romance with Angelina Jolie, with whom he now shares his life and raises 6 children. Pitt told Esquire that he is now satisfied with his life, saying "I haven't known life to be any happier." His interview is the cover story in the June/July issue of Esquire.
