Kerry warns Syria's Assad against rejecting political solution

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Jordan says Western governments are ready to increase support to opponents of President Bashar al-Assad if he rejects a political solution to Syria's civil war.

The conflict in Syria has lasted for more than two years. This this latest amateur video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters shows the aftermath of government airstrike on a town near the Lebanese border.

Against this backdrop the US and Russia hope to hold a peace conference in Geneva next month to try to end the violence.
