Census Shows Significant Decline in Christian Population

A census shows a significant decline in the Christian population.

According to a 2011 census, the number of people in England and Wales who religiously identify themselves as Christian has gone down significantly.

The number of Muslims has risen, which leads to projections that Christians will be in the minority in the UK for the first time within the next ten years.

Approximately, one in ten people under the age of 25 that participated in the census self identified as Muslim.

Compared with ten years ago, the census revealed that there are about 4 million less Christians and 6 point 4 million more people that claim to have no faith.

There are fewer and fewer Christians in the Middle East too.

There have been numerous reports of attacks on Christians in Muslim majority countries.

Many Christians have fled countries in the Middle East like Iraq, Syria, and Egypt, since Islamic fundamentalist groups started driving them out of their homelands.

In Somalia, Christianity is outlawed, and converts are forced to flee, or be executed.
